The Spanish company Frumecar, based in the Industrial Park West of Alcantarilla (Murcia), will actively participate in the expansion and improvement of the highway A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon in the United Kingdom with an initial budget of 292 million pounds.This work will also facilitate a better communication between the two British cities, enabling and accelerating the transit of people, goods and services. This enhancement in local and regional infrastructures will increase the economy of the area and offer improvements to the system which will help to alleviate congestion in one of the busiest parts of the strategic road network between the Midlands and East Anglia. With this collaboration, Frumecar leads again the reference group of suppliers of first level in the sector of the machinery for the construction. Thus, once again, the company led by Francisco Frutos and Mariano Carrillo, will be present in a large international project with the contribution of its knowhow, products and services.
Regarding to the extension and improvement of the A14 highway, a development team will carry out the main contract, which comprises several Temporary Consortiun, whit some of the better designers and road employees from the United Kingdom united for this purpose.
Frumecar actively participates in this project with the supply of specific machinery for the production of concrete. For this project, one of the products with the highest performance and technological value in the international market. It is a concrete batching plant model Modulmix-3000 C, which was developed with the premise of modular design to facilitate and minimize both transport and installation at the final destination as it is capable of producing up to 120 cbm / h of ready mix concret, being transported only in 2 units of container 40 ft High Cube type. This center will also provide the customer with a large capacity to adapt to their needs thanks to its modularity, flexibility and high performance of a fixed plant, adding the advantages of high mobility and ease of assembly and operation.
